Here&#8217;s a list of the best study and work caf\u00e9s in Gothenburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The caf\u00e9 city Gothenburg<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gothenburg is a small city, but it&#8217;s filled with a lot of great and cozy caf\u00e9s, especially around the town center. This is mostly because of the <a aria-label=\"undefined (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/theculturetrip.com\/europe\/sweden\/articles\/fika-a-swedish-cultural-way-of-life\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Swedish fika culture.<\/a> Most caf\u00e9s are found along the streets at Haga, Avenyn, Kungsportsplatsen, and Domkyrkan. Some caf\u00e9s extinguish themselves with great atmospheres that attract both students and remote workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Factors considered <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list of caf\u00e9s that I think are the best study and work c\u00e1fes in Gothenburg are based on these factors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>tasty coffee for a reasonable price<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>free wifi och toilet <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>near the city center and great transportation options<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pretty interior and environment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>good service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The list of the best caf\u00e9s<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Johan &amp; Nystr\u00f6ms<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.joneliasondesign.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/DSC_0783.jpg\" alt=\"Johan &amp; Nystr\u00f6m \u2013 Jon Eliason Design Studio\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Johan och Nystr\u00f6ms Avenyn<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The<em> Johan &amp; Nystr\u00f6m<\/em> caf\u00e9s in Gothenburg are always clean and feature cool industrial interior designs with green plants. They usually attract customers that come there to be productive such as students and can be found at Kungsportsavenyn 21 and \u00d6stra Hamngatan 46-48. They take good coffee pretty seriously and offer a wide range of raw food. Free wifi and toilets are available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Viktors Kaffe<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Viktors Kaffe Bar is a small and cozy caf\u00e9 located close to G\u00f6taplatsen. In contrast to the caf\u00e9 chains such as Johan &amp; Nystr\u00f6m and da Matteo, Viktors Kaffe feels much more intimate and local. The people working there (and the customers as well actually) are always so nice and there&#8217;s a calm and chilled atmosphere. The interior features plants, art on the walls, and a blue sky painted on the ceiling. During the summer they also have an outdoor serving and there are wifi and toilets. During meal times, the caf\u00e9 is often filled with people, however, during other times it&#8217;s easy to find an empty spot to sit. However, there aren&#8217;t many power outlets (if any), so bring your computer fully charged!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kaf\u00e9 Magasinet<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kaf\u00e9 Magasinet at Tredje l\u00e5ng (the street behind the famous <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andra_l%C3%A5nggatan\">Andra l\u00e5nggatan<\/a>), is a super popular restaurant and bar at night, filled with customers and a loud volume. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, during the day there&#8217;s a really calm atmosphere with incredible natural lightning streaming in from the glass ceiling above. The interior is filled with big green plants, industrial lightbulbs, and cozy pillows. There&#8217;s coffee, wifi and toilets available and it&#8217;s great for both visiting alone or as a group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kopps<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Close to Domkyrkan, one can find the caf\u00e9 and restaurant called Kopps. The greatest advantage with Kopps (in my experience) is that it&#8217;s open until 22 during weekdays, while most caf\u00e9s in Gothenburg often close much earlier. Besides coffee and fika they also offer a variety of pasta dishes, pizzas, hamburgers, and more. Wifi and toilets are available and there&#8217;s a shuffleboard that one can pay for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Da matteo<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The chain &#8220;da Matteo&#8221; can be found at multiple places in Gothenburg and there&#8217;s often a lot of customers, especially when the weather&#8217;s good. Their coffee is tasty, the interiors often feel very chill and wifi and toilets are always available. Most da Matteo caf\u00e9s have both places to sit indoors and outdoors as well as multiple floors and some &#8220;hidden&#8221; areas. Right outside the entries at their outdoor servings, there&#8217;s often a lot of people. However, in most of their caf\u00e9s, you can walk around (often through some small side door or stairs) and find semi-hidden places with fewer customers which are calmer and cozier.
